The construction industry umbrella organisation bausinn.ch rated 32 companies from six different sectors at Swissbau.
In the metal construction sector, Krapf AG was rated 'Outstanding' in the innovation category. Bausinn.ch is particularly focused on recognising achievements in the Swiss construction industry and promoting pride in the building trade.
Patented air-tight sliding air-lux windows
The jury justified its decision as follows: "Engelburg-based Krapf AG was founded in 1964. It now employs 80 staff and is currently training eight apprentices. The company is recognised in the media and on the market for its innovative ideas. In 2004, Krapf brought a frameless, 100% impermeable sliding window onto the market, which has since been patented in the EU, USA and Switzerland."
