"Come together" - Major order for the Krapf AG
The Krapf AG produces, supplies and installs approx. 2000 windows for the new buildings of the Cantonal Hospital St. Gallen and the Eastern Switzerland Children's Hospital - an order worth CHF 10 million. We are pleased to use our expertise in façade-, glass- and metal construction in our region.
About four and a half years ago, the voters of St. Gallen clearly agreed to various extensions to hospitals. Among other things, this led to the construction project "come together", which describes the local rapprochement between the Cantonal Hospital St. Gallen and the Eastern Switzerland Children's Hospital. This includes the renovation of the Cantonal Hospital St. Gallen and the new construction of the Eastern Switzerland Children's Hospital with the aim of making the facilities feel like one. The project started in 2014 and is expected to be completed in 2028.
In addition to the 2000 all-metal aluminium windows, the Krapf AG's contribution also includes 100 door elements, blind boxes and window boards The order is therefore large and includes many different individual services from the Krapf AG, but is also easy to manage due to its multi-year term. With our 80 employees and a production area of more than 5000 square meters equipped with the most modern machinery, we are ideally equipped for such an order: During peak production times, 20 to 30 people will also be involved in planning, design and production. In this way, we can guarantee that our tasks will be carried out according to schedule and in the quality specified in the advertised quality. Managing director Lukas Knechtle greatly appreciates the fact that the contract was awarded in the region. This shows that with the Krapf AG we have a competitive company in Eastern Switzerland.
